About Us

Message from the Chapter President

Sacramento is a city with blossoming entrepreneurial energy and positive momentum.  Our region has quickly become a great place to live, work, and do business and we are all a part of it together.  EO Sacramento is gaining momentum along with Sacramento and includes some of this region’s fastest growing, highest quality, and best run organizations.  The Sacramento Chapter of EO has a vision to build the region’s most influential community of entrepreneurs.  EO members have recognized the value in an organization comprised of our peers who are business leaders and a valuable asset for all, plus the EO network includes over 7000 members globally who are accessible thru this leading organization.

Communications – use these tools
This website and our learning calendar format should make it easy to find out what is going on when and where within EO. Check it out, use it, and thank the EO Sacramento Board for their efforts to bring this site online.

Learning & Social
The EO Sacramento Board is committed to make our learning and social events once-in-a-lifetime (OIL) events.  EO Sacramento events have included a private (not usually open to the public) tour of the old and new Folsom prison, Visionary Vantage series breakfast meetings with Applied Materials Chairman Jim Morgan and developer/politician Phil Angelides and joint events with the EO San Francisco and Silicon Valley Chapters.  In August we're hosting a joint event with the Entrepreneurs Foundation at Raley Field to celebrate regional entrepreneurism and network with the region's best and brightest.

Moderators
One of the key parts of our organization that we identified at our 2007 Strategy Summit is the role moderators take in the EO Forum experience. A well-trained moderator can be an accelerator in getting the Forum experience to the next level. That being the case, we have invested in annual moderator training, currently scheduled for September. I greatly appreciate those who take on the moderator role and look forward to participating in the training myself.

Our Volunteer Board
On behalf of the entire Sacramento Chapter, I want to thank the EO Sacramento Board for being so engaged and volunteering their time and talents to the health of our Chapter. You are a great group of leaders. For those not on the Board, you're missing a GREAT opportunity to expand your EO experience.

I’d like to close by thanking John Finegan for his leadership of the Sacramento Chapter over the last year.  Of course John will continue to be VERY active in the Chapter over the next several years as a member and this year's Communications Chair.

Sincerely,

Mark Rossi
